News Update 

 INFORMATION SHEET No 6 – MARCH 2012

 

 

(1)    FRIDAY 16 MARCH 2012 – NIGHT OFF (Anchor Boys & Company Section)

                The Company will NOT meet on this date due to the Battalion Junior Section Mime & Drama Competition being held in the Church Hall. All sections will  meet as normal on Friday 23 March 2012. Our Junior Section though will take part in this event – please see attached letter.

(2)    SATURDAY 24 MARCH 2012 – 7 A SIDE FOOTBALL COMPETITION

The Battalion 7 a side Football competition takes place at the Old Racecourse, Ayr (hopefully weather permitting this time). This is for Junior & Company Section Boys. Remember to let me know this week if your son is taking part.  

 

(3)    FRIDAY 6 & 13 APRIL 2012 – SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

The Company will NOT meet on Friday 6 & 13 April 2012 due to the School Holidays. All sections will restart on Friday 20 April 2012, in preparation for our Parents Night. 

 

(4)    SATURDAY 21 APRIL 2012 – JS OUTDOOR DAY  

The Battalion Junior Section Outdoor Day takes place at Fullarton Woods, Troon. Further details will be given out on Friday 30 March 2012.

 

(5)    SATURDAY 28 APRIL 2012 – ANCHOR BOYS OUTING

As part of the Battalion’s 125^th Anniversary the Anchor Boys are going to the Heads of Ayr Farm Park. More information will follow but if you wish your son to go then you can let me know by return.

 

(6)    SUNDAY 29 APRIL 2012  - BATTALION CHURCH PARADE & SERVICE

The Battalion Church Parade will be held at the Auld Kirk, Ayr during the morning service. Further details will be given out nearer the time.

 

(7)     FRIDAY 4 MAY 2012 - PARENTS NIGHT

    Our Annual Parents Night takes place in the Church Hall on Friday 4 May  2012. Further details will be given out nearer the time.

 

(8)    TESCO VOUCHERS

This scheme has started again, we would be grateful if you can collect these on our behalf.

The Battalion has a scheme where present and former members of the Boys’ Brigade can keep in touch of what is happening in our local area. Cost is £10 per year, which includes regular newsletters and a member’s badge. As it is the 125^th Anniversary of  the Battalion we are trying to encourage as many people to join up as possible. The Battalion have also had a book published titled ‘The Stedfast Way’ (History of the Battalion) and is available for £10. This is also available from Stuart Hyslop (plus I will bring some to the Coffee Morning).
